What is a CSHP?
A CSHP is a school health program that effectively addresses students’ health, and thus improves their ability to learn. A CSHP is not a new program, rather an effective way to utilize existing resources within schools and their surrounding communities to create programs that focus on the whole person, rather than just one area of health.
The 8 Components of a Coordinated School Health Program are: Comprehensive School Health Education, Physical Education and Physical Activity, School Climate, School Nutrition, School Counseling, Physical and Behavioral Services, Physical Environment, Health Promotion & Wellness and Youth, Parent, Family and Community Inolvement.
