AOS 93 Coordinated School Health Program
CSHP Mission: To effectively address students’ health, thus improving their ability to learn.
Teams and Committees within the CSHP

Union #74/Lincoln Academy  School Health Advisory Council (SHAC): 
meets 3 times a year to work with School Health Coordinator to guide programs and meet required objectives.  This advisory group is made up of parents, school board members, physicians, school nurses, & community members that are interested in being part of a group that focuses on the health of students.

Coordinated School Health Leadership Team (CSHLT): meets 4 -6 times a year to work within the schools to promote health and wellness.  This group is made up of staff that represents the 8 components of a coordinated school health program, including Health & Physical Education Staff, School Nurse, Food Service Manager, Guidance Counselor, School Health Coordinator, and Custodial Staff.  These individuals represent their areas and bring attention to health issues within the school that need to be addressed.

School Wellness Team:
meets monthly to work on actions geared towards staff health promotion, such as public health awareness campaigns, stress management, physical activity programs, and positive school climate issues.  This team is made up of school staff, represented by all schools in the district. 

Health Education Curriculum Team: meets as needed to review and revise health curriculum for grades K-8.  This team is responsible for monitoring the curriculum and to offer opportunities for professional development that enable health education to be effectively taught at all levels.  This team has representation from both classroom teachers, as well as the health and physical education teachers.
