What is one of the best ways to improve student learning?
TEACH THEM TO BE HEALTHY AND WELL!
Let's all ask ourselves these questions...
Are we feeding our children nutritious foods at home and school?
Do we encourage them to by active?
Is Health Education and Physical Education offered at school to all students?
Do they feel safe at school? at home?
Do they and their families feel connected to school?
Is the school environment clean and inviting?
Are health services offered at school to ensure their basic health needs are being met?
My role within AOS 93 is to promote these and many more ideas to support the children and those involved in their lives both at home and school to adopt healthier lifestyles. Contact me to find out more! Michelle York, School Health Coordinator.
